An imposing cork oak stands close to the house and has defied wind and weather for several hundred years: tough, mystical, unconventional, full of strength. It gave this vineyard its name, LA SUGHERA, the cork oak.
Here, in an elevated position not far from the sea in the north of Sardinia, the vines for our wines thrive. But in the middle of the LA SUGHERA vineyard with a view of the maquis, mountains and sea, we also offer 2 modern appartments of a high standard.
If you like, you can enjoy the magnificent view and enjoy one of our wines, the white Ino and Iadu or the red Iola, Vale and Lari, with an aperitif or sunset.
Nearby, the wide, secluded beaches of Vignola and the surrounding area await with a fantastic sea. You can also experience the unbridled beauty of Sardinian nature by bike, on foot or motorized.
Here, near Aglientu, we have set up our winery. We are the founders and owners, Regula Graf and Francesco Welti. We earned our spurs as winegrowers in Ticino for almost 15 years – and won a number of prizes with our wines.
A winery is born
Because we are convinced of the quality and potential of Sardinian grapes and this incomparable natural environment, we have launched the LA SUGHERA project in an area that we have known for thirty years and where viticulture has been practiced for thousands of years.

We have been the proud owners of this magnificent plot of land since September 2012. Since then, we have planted the vineyard, converted the main building into a bed & breakfast and – after a few years’ delay – built the cellar. Now nothing stands in the way of wine enjoyment.
